![]() Whereas the Brotherhood of Steel, for all it's well meaning wishes to protect the Commonwealth, has all the old downsides of a paternalistic, tech hoarding and borderline dictatorial group, along with fantastic racism against Synths. The Railroad, despite being the most subversive / spy oriented of the factions, never even asks us to assassinate suspected Synth replacements doing harm, like the mayor of Diamond City. ![]() ![]() ![]() The fact that the MM survive in all four endings unhindered shows they're such good two-shoes no one has a problem letting them live. The Minutemen and Railroad have literally no downsides, morally, in terms of supporting them and choosing them for who you support to the End Game. So I finally finished the game (yes, I'm perpetually late at these it's a combo of trying to savor them and being slow to switch consoles) and I wanted to share these thoughts and see what others think.Īnd I have to say, compared to FO 3 and New Vegas particularly, I didn't really see much conflict when choosing factions. ![]()
